I wasn't certain the post belonged in this forum only. Isn't the topic relevant to the other forum too? Maybe someone there would have an answer for me.

Also, a private message would have been sufficient to tell me instead of a public reprimand.

Instead of policing the board on this minor issue, how about an answer?

One of the reason we have so many attorneys and courts is that rules (laws) have many possible interpretations.

*sigh* I don't know how much clearer these two statements could be:

[3] Do NOT post the same question in different forums (cross posting). All that will happen is that one will be kept and the rest will be deleted by a moderator.

[4] Do NOT start a new thread / topic when there is already a discussion going on. Add to that thread as it helps keep continuity and makes finding answers easier later.

I swear, sometimes I don't know why I bother....

You could and should PM in the future.

[14] Try and avoid flooding the forums with posts that have no use. Saying thanks to someone is fine but posting things like 'I dont know' or 'let me know if you find out' doesnt help anyone.

And, it is possible that this is relevant to the other forum too.

[15] Do your best to put your posts in the correct forum. Each forum has a description of the sort of questions you should post there (they are not perfect but good enough as a guide). This not only helps people answer you but also helps others in future wehn they are trying to find an answer.

No need to respond anymore (I'm done) unless you have the answer to the original question!
