![]() I have used dreavweaver extensivley in the past, but that was quite a while ago, many revisions past.
this question is to ask how do you set up your site so dreamweaver assembles all the peices together, to display the assembled page. I have copied my test install locally, and would like to start configuring the layout in Css. I have been working on a design layout in photoshop, and im begining to slice out the components. Thank you.

![]() Really tough to get DW to work with X-Cart, as you need a plug-in that can understand Smarty, and last time I checked, that wasn't working so good

How is the typical workflow for a designer like your self?

Balinor I am checking out UltraEdit and it does seem pretty powerful for what it cost. One question I have for you, When you are setting up an FTP/SFTP account, on the advanced tab there is the option to choose ASCII or Binary as your default transfer type. Does it make any differance which one you choose or will the program automatically detect the type of file like FileZilla does? Thanks |

So it does not automatically detect the type of file like FileZilla does and you have to manually change the transfer type everytime you go from uploading a php file to a jpg image? |

![]() Not sure I follow you....are you talking about using UltraEdit as an FTP client?

![]() Oh, well it really isn't meant to upload video/images, just text files, so that is why there isn't an auto feature. I'd stick with a true FTP client to manage anything other than the templates/php files.
