Default adding required field in the credit card information section
Hi - I am interested in adding a required field in our checkout card here in the credit card information section:

../cart.php?paymentid=21&mode=checkout

I have played around on our test server with various tpl files, but I believe I need to get a bit more direction as I have duffed the credit card section in the admin area

Any help would be great. Cheers!

Surely, someone has wanted this feature? I guess my issue is there are a couple of governing tpls for the checkout cart especially the credit card information section (thanks for that tutorial balinor that was a treat). Adding a text box anywhere in there would be ideal, but I'd like to make it a required text box that checks for a phone number without .'s, -'s or spaces with a minimum number of numbers required and returns an error when letters are put in. The coding sounds easy enough, but which tpl would I tackle?
I can post back here with the how's and what's, I just need a little direction. Cheers!

Are you sure this section is the best place for this? It seems that Fraud Prevention would be more applicable when you concerned no one has posted a reply in three days I'm sure others would want this feature in their software as well.

Why not be smarter than the customer and LET THEM use spaces or dashes or .?
