adding required field in the credit card information section
 

Hi - I am interested in adding a required field in our checkout card here in the credit card information section:

../cart.php?paymentid=21&mode=checkout

I have played around on our test server with various tpl files, but I believe I need to get a bit more direction as I have duffed the credit card section in the admin area :lol:

Surely, someone has wanted this feature? I guess my issue is there are a couple of governing tpls for the checkout cart especially the credit card information section (thanks for that tutorial balinor that was a treat). Adding a text box anywhere in there would be ideal, but I'd like to make it a required text box that checks for a phone number without .'s, -'s or spaces with a minimum number of numbers required and returns an error when letters are put in. The coding sounds easy enough, but which tpl would I tackle?
I can post back here with the how's and what's, I just need a little direction. Cheers!

Are you sure this section is the best place for this? It seems that Fraud Prevention would be more applicable when you concerned no one has posted a reply in three days :-( I'm sure others would want this feature in their software as well.

Well, it is about editing templates, so this is the right place. :) If you want a guaranteed answer to your question, post a ticket with X-Cart via your help desk.

Why not be smarter than the customer and LET THEM use spaces or dashes or .?
