Default Re: Template Editing Guide

I want to put Google Adwords code into customer/main/order_message.tpl

I managed to put the code but what should be the variable I should assign for the conversion value?

I tried "{$order.order.total}" , {$order.order.total} and $order.order.total.

Seems there is no value coming through am I using the right variable?

thanks

Moving this to its own thread. It isn't as simple as plugging in the code I'm afraid, read this thread:

Default Re: Google code

This thread has been down for some time.
I would very much appreciate some complete (one-stop) guidance on this:

A) In Which file to put the conversion tracking code in?
I believe it is skin1/customer/main/order_message.tpl.
Where, in the file should it be placed?

B) Is it correct that it needs to be surrounded by {literal} {/literal} tags to keep the smarty system from compiling it?

C) When working correctly, should there be a message from google on the Invoice page?

D) Use of http:// and https://?

E) To get the value of the conversion code, what variable should we use?

When the Answer is complete, could it be made sticky?

Thank you!
Mark

Thank you for this response. Is this something you plan to make available in the next few days? If not, could you please point me in the right direction?
I believe that all I need is the name of the variable that holds the total -- or am I in error here?
