Thanks, I'll give that a go..I did try my version and it didn't seem to do anything. I've also got X-cart looking into it, hopefully they won't quote me too much to get these fields written to the orders_extra table as I shouldn't think the work needed is wildly different to what's posted here!

Thanks again

Dan

Nope, that didn't work either, I'll have a bit of a snoop around and also see what X-Cart come up with.

Thanks

Dan

Updated my July 2nd instructions with the following:
Quote:
UPDATE: payment/payment_offline.php will need the same treatment as payment_cc.php if you accept payment methods other than cc.

This is very confusing, so many different patched instructions, I'm not sure which set to use and not use. Would just like the customer notes to be sent with no cc information. Hmmm..

I think my post on July 2nd is a fairly good summary:

Thanks cherie,

I am referring back to your July 2nd post and the very first point

Quote:
1. I used my previous instructions posted here for adding additional fields to the checkout, calling my new field Extra_Notes.

has confused me already (it has been a long day, in my defence) - are you referring in point 1. to your post of the 6th February 2005 that appears in this topic?

and do your other numbered points on the 6th July rely on the original Loon modifications being in place, whether partially or fully?

Cheers,
Rob.

The first post describes how to add any extra field to the checkout process and how to get to that information later, like for displaying on the invoice: The second post describes how to convert the customer notes field into something useful: I reference the first post when adding any extra field to the checkout process, and I reference both posts (only) when converting the customer notes field.

Many thanks for that cherie -

It has become apparent today that my brain wasn't working in any way, shape, or form yesterday so I shall track down these posts now and try and kick-start the poor grey lump into some sort of action.

Cheers,
Rob.

Yes!

With a little shoe-horning, a lot of coffee, and diligent attention to both sets of cherie's instructions, I now have the Customer notes appearing in glorious technicolor on the Invoices.

Merci Beaucoup!

You get a badge.

Rob.

It would be nice if someone posted complete instructions for getting the customer comments in the order invoice which is emailed to both customer and admin. If they leave me comments I want to see them, it makes sense that they would also see their comments in the invoice.
