Default adding new functions (pages?) to help.php?

i searched for this topic, but couldnt find the answer to my question exactly.

I'm trying to add some features in my x-cart help area.

I want to add Order Tracking to the help area.
I could make it go to a static page but i would rather have the order tracking come up in the middle area like everything else on the site. I manually changed the "terms & conditions" to "return policy". which seems like a confusing way to do it.
is there a way to maybe edit help.php to bring up a new feature like order_tracking.tpl? and have it work just like the FAQ page or any of the others that come standard with xcart?

Try an embedded static page...you can add smarty into it and it will work however you want it to. It will also show up on the help menu by default.

Just add a new embedded static page....put some random text in there and you will see how it works.

Not sure what you have in mind for order tracking, but you can put whatever you need for code in the static page.

oh ok. i didnt see the "static page" feature till now.
thanks!! that shoul do the trick.

this is what the order tracking would consist of

http://www.ftkonline.com/ordertracking.html

just uses ups webtools & the automatically generated Order Id to let customers track their packages without any manual work from the admin end.

this worked great.

actually almost too perfect.

do these static pages automatically insert themselves as links in the HELP menu box?

I went to add them in there, and they were already there?!
