Default What's the best way to redirect from /cart to home.php?

I read quite a few threads discussing this and the most important thing that seemed to be talked about was not hurting your search optimizations. Is using the htaccess way the best or a simple html page that has a refresh time of 0? (Others?) I know the refresh code of 0, but if the htaccess way is the best, can you refresh my memory and give me the code that I would actually put into the htaccess file?

Thank you.

The absolute best way is to put X-cart in the root directory and set the index file to index.php. Redirects of any type are not liked by search engines.

You don't have to redo your site, you just need to move it to the root directory.

Default Still have some sort of redirect on my site.

Still have some sorts of redirect on my site.

For examples:

If I type in the browser "mydomain.com". It will forward and show mydomain.com/index.php on the browser.

I don't want the index.php shows up after mydomain for SEO purposes. Is there a way I can fix this.

However, when I type in "mydomanin.com/", with a back slash at the back then it shows normal like www.mydomain.com/.

Live site is at www.soundtekmusic.com.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Andy

Search engines are ok with an .htaccess 301 redirect. Either use that, or build your html catalog in root. Do not do anything else.
