Product Count displayed on Root Categories, can we do it?

Default Product Count displayed on Root Categories, can we do it?
CATALOG
Widgets (45)
Gidgets (12)
Wadgets (39)
etc...


How can we get the aboe to show. In osCommerce, it will show you how many products belong to a master category in parenthesis on the main page. How can we do this for X-Cart? I'd like my customers to see how many products belong to a root category.

I looked in 'skin1/customers/main/subcategories.tpl' to get the code, but it didnt work in the 'skin1/customers/categories.tpl' file.

Any help?

try looking in skin1/admin/main/categories.tpl

I think there's a function in there somewhere to count the number of products in a category...
