I'd like to have random picture javascript in my home.tpl code but don't know how to go about doing it. I've tried copying and pasting some pre-coded stuff off the net but I get fatal errors.

I would like to have a pool of 4 or 5 images that are randomly selected and displayed on every page (home.tpl).

You need to make sure and use {literal} tags around any javascript:

javascript goes here
{/literal}
