I am looking to have a custom page for my cat default.

Here is my page

I want this to be the center (yes it has dhtml)
http://www.dejaun.com/layouts/test.htm

do I put this in description? if so I get a double menu. My list are long so I had to add dhtml. Any other better ideas?

Just get rid of the dynamically generated X-Cart code all together in the subcategories.tpl and add your custom code.
