I would be really tahnkfull is somedy could tell me how to delete a category icon . It does sound like an easy task, but i just cant seem to find the appropriate code. Thanks!

In the customer/categories.tpl file, change the last line into:

{ include file="menu.tpl" dingbats="spacer.gif" menu_title=$lng.lbl_categories menu_content=$smarty.capture.menu }
