![]() We are in the process of switching over to Xcart 5 from Xcart 4 and I'm told I need PHP memory limit up to 1024M. My current hosting service quoted me $120/month or more for a cloud server. We are currently using a shared server for about $57/month. I'm happy with my current service but is that a fair increase?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

![]() Min memory dedicated to PHP for running XC5 is 256M. 1GB memory for PHP seems excessive to me.
I would recommend have your current service up to date - PHP 7.2 at minimum, latest MySQL or MariaDB, etc. Then see how the new XC5 site runs under development. You can always move to new improved server.
