Hi guys

I haven't found a solution to our problem. We would like to offer certain items free shipping to specific countries. I have not found a way to do this, other then mark an item free shipping, but that would make it free no matter where the destination country is.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can use destination zones and shipping rates to make shipping free to certain countries but it will apply for the whole order and will work with user-defined shipping only.
If you want this to be on per product based you need to get it custom coded.
