I upgraded to 5.2.2. After install the cart errors out and I have to do a soft reset. Here is the error that I receive:

ERROR: "0" (code N/A)
An exception occurred while executing 'ALTER TABLE `xc_form_ids` ADD CONSTRAINT `xc_formid_to_session` FOREIGN KEY `session_id` (`session_id`) REFERENCES `xc_sessions` (`id`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE': SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1452 Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`db570631593`., CONSTRAINT `xc_formid_to_session` FOREIGN KEY (`session_id`) REFERENCES `xc_sessions` (`id`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CA)


This cart has been nothing else but frustration for me. Can someone let me know how I can get the cart past this error?

I am also having a problem upgrading with this error coming from 5.1.11

It looks like all your messages are about the same 5.2 upgrade problem, so I've moved them into a single forum thread.

In case you face the same issue, please sign into your account at https://secure.x-cart.com/, create a ticket there, attach your log files (that you can find in the [xc5]/var/log/ directory) and let us have the access to your server (if possible).

Also, if you created a backup, please let us have it so that we could try upgrading your site on our computers locally.

We found the issue with updating foreign key in upgrade process on some versions on MySQL.

Our team is working on the fix and we will release the patch to recover stores. Also to fix the upgrade process we will have to release 5.2.3 version. There will be no any changes in the software, only the fixes in upgrade procedure.

To prevent such situation in the future we will implement waves for upgrades. It is impossible to emulate all the cases on QA-phase, what’s why we want to double check the upgrade procedure on private test group until make it public. The first wave will be available only for certain stores. After checking and corrections (if necessary) we will make upgrade available for all the other stores.

Please try once again. I have just opened it an the incognito mode of the browser and it works for me. Did it work?

No link fails. This happens on many links on your website as well.

Safari can’t open the page “https://blog.x-cart.com/5-2-3-upgrade-issue-fix-for-the-users-running-MySQL-5-6.html” because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server “blog.x-cart.com”.
