![]() Hi,
I'm sure there is a perfectly logical explanation for this, but unfortunately I don't know what it is... I'm working on a 4.5.4 site at the moment, which I hope to release very shortly. Currently it resides at 'training.temporaryurl.biz'. When testing it in Chrome, if I click on the 'Register' link on the right bar (which links to http://training.temporaryurl.biz/register.php) I find that only half of the registration form is visible. Not straigh away for some reason, but a few seconds after the page has loaded, the bottom half of the page seems to suddenly get truncated before my very eyes. If I 'inspect element', which I don't claim to be an expert in, I see that somewhere along the line, the height of one of the elements has been set to something like '212px'. If I manually enter a height for the element or uncheck some of the overflow settings, the form reappears again, which I suppose I expected. This doesn't happen on IE, FF, or Safari, where the form is perfectly visible. Can anyone offer any guidance on what might be causing this, and why it only happens in Chrome? Many thanks Welly |

![]() I checked from my end using both IE and Chrome and didn't seem to have an issue.
I do see that the left menu doesn't extend all the way to the footer (as the right one does since there's a "follow us on twitter box"), but other than that things appear to be showing correctly on my end. I'm using Chrome 26.0.1410.64m, on a Vista64 machine at the moment.

![]() Hi Conor,
Thanks for taking the time. That's the same version of Chrome that I have which is a bit strange, and for us it doesn't happen in any other browser we've tried either. I guess I'll have to leave it at that. As for the left bar, you're right, but as both side bars contain dynamic stuff (eg, the left bar now has the 'Recently Viewed' segment), I find it quite difficult to balance them. Thankfully, most pages have enough content to make the imbalance less obvious... Thanks again. Welly |
