IE version 8
any reason why we are still forcing 1e 8 emulation via meta tags? is there some functional purpose to this? As far as I can tell xcart works fine with 9.

The only reason is that noone at QT thinks that's important...
 It should be <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1" >

There are a number of legacy issues in the common and other themes. When I create a new theme I always set the meta to what cflsystems stated above.
