We are using the 1 column product layout with custom tabs below. The testimonials scroll perfectly on every page expect product details.

Would also like to adjust the sub cat image size, but cant work it out

Anyone with any suggestions would be welcomed.

Phil opened a ticket couple or 3 weeks ago for the updated template files. If you get a mo can you mail them across pls.

Anyways got a couple of probably really simple quaestions for you but I cant seem to figure them out.

1 - I noticed lots of updates on the ability page of xcartmods site but can't figure out how I go about updating to the latest version of the theme. I'm sure i'm missing something very simple.

2 - How do I edit the below IE6 browser warning page? I want to remove the Xcart Gold bit and replace it with our company logo and some text explaining why they shouldn't be using ie6.

You can ignore number 2 as I have found the upgrade.html file in the root of the server.

CandC, sorry about that, I've sent the files over. We get a lot of emails and occasionally we miss some.

David, I'll send you the lastest files also. Unfortunately there's no patching facility to upgrade to a later version of Ability.

I don't have access to a .DIFF patching system, if someone can suggest one, I might start offering patches.

You can use a file comparison tool to help out, like this or this - downloading your existing skin/ability folder and comparing it with the new one.

I am not planning any major updates to the template for the near future, there will most likely be only minor updates.

It's build in any unix type system

Hi

Getting towards final testing & very pleased with the Ability template. I found one issue earlier this week which I have reported as a bug (? maybe) but just thought I would see if anyone else has checked this.

We use Variants a lot in our store, so we have the x-cart option ticked so that if anyone clicks on Buy Now for a product with options in a product list they get sent to the product page so they can choose the right set of options.

I've found that with Ability using any of the display options for Best Buys or Featured Products on the Home page you do not get this action when you click on "buy now". What happens is it adds the product to your cart with the default options/variants selected.

My plan is to edit these lists to take out the "buy now" button but wondered if anyone else had noticed this and come up with a better solution.

This does not happen on the other product lists (e.g. browsing a category, or search results).

Hi Guys,

Can anyone give me some tips on cleaning up the detailed images part of the products page?

As you can see from the attached image there is a large gap below the main image and where is says view detailed images.

What template would i need to edit to remove the view detailed images text altogether?

I have noticed that if i switch from jquery colourbox to internal when I hover over the small images it changes the top image which is really nice but I like the look of lightbox. is there any way of combining both these effects? In the mean time I have it set as cloud zoom as it gives the best of both worlds even if its not as pretty as lightbox.

I have tried to change the thumbnail size but it just overlaps the text to the right of the image and doesn't push it over
