really strange issue with static pages admin page

Hi Guys,

I have a really strange issue with my static pages page in the admin section of my site. All seemed to work fine then all of a sudden I went to access my site and the only thing that was there was the plesk welcome page. I refreshed the page a few times before I was about to call my hosting company when the site came back again.

Now everything seems to work fine except for the static pages page.

This is a screen shot of what I see now when I try to access the page.

I have tried it in different browsers and resetting my browser cache but still the same.

Any ideas guys? This is bizarre.

Check /var/log for errors. Could be permission issue

The only things I can see for today are these errors.

in the x-errors_php-111221.php file.

Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

This is a warning, should not prevent the page from showing. Check permissions of var directories, look in other error log files - maybe the templates are missing?

What should the permissions of the var folders be? I haven't changed any permissions so its a bit strange this has occurred, wonder if the host have done something funky.

The only log file that was generated today was the one I listed above.

They should be writable. If the host changed somehting why it shows only on pages? You can ask them though. It seems strange the site will disappear and then work again. New php version without telling you>?

Thats what I was think but I just spoke to them and they said that they havent made any changes.

the var folder is sitting at 775, does this seem right to you? I've never really managed to get my head round permissions. Should this be 777?

UPDATE: I have changed the permission of the var folder and all it's contents to 777 but I still have this same issue.

Any more ideas? I really don't want to have to copy the whole site over again.

Another update

Decided just to replace all the files on the site, not really much to change to get it to work on the new host and I can now access the static pages section.
