I've started to work on the vivid dreams chromo skin to adapt to my needs by modifying classes in altskin.css. I could already have resized the header and categories container successfully but now i need to move the minicart to the left-bar under categories list (or above) in the same way the cart is displayed in Light & Lucid 2 columns skin.

I did different attempts by examining Chrome code debugger to move it where i need but without success as i could not move it out from the header (as it seems to be part of it). I even tried to recreate a class out of the header for the cart but it gave no result.

Do someone can help me in this issue with a piece of code ?

It sounds like you have it under control but if I remember correctly you can only have one instance of the minicart so it can't be in the header and the menu at the same time.
