How do I access the back end to my store to set the store up and make edits?

Thanks Steve.

I tried. It did not work.

It is installed. But I am wondering if I am missing something.

I know Joomla works like you mentioned, www.yourdomain.com/admin, but is X-Cart slightly different?

If your store is installed in a subdirectory then you need to add it to the url

www.yourdomain.com/subdir_name/admin

you can try with ...../admin/home.php
