Minicart in the header.

I ahve added a minicart to the header, and changed the styling.

when a product is added using the ajax function the formatting is reverted to the original design. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?

As far as I can see there is a difference in styling e.g. "td.top-cart-inner" style is missing after add to cart.

Please make sure all the logic blocs use the proper styles in the "skin/common_files/customer/minicart.tpl" template.

Hi I am also facing the same problem when I add mini-cart to header.The mini-cart icon with link is not working properly in my 4.4.2 version.

How to resolve this issue??

Hi qualiteam,

I have changed the cart icon when empty different color and when full a different color.But if I call cart on header this iconic image is not showing it shows after refreshing also tooltip is not showing after adding products to cart.

If I call cart on header why this problem is happening??

How to resolve this issue??

I think the image issue is because it moves the image up and down to show different states so only changing the image won't help.

I've had a go at this myself and it's not so straight forward.

How to resolve this issue then?

I have Posted this issue in bug tracker,but they said it is simply customization.If I called cart on header then why it is not showing first time ?? Why tool tip is not showing?? How to resolve this issue??

It isn't a bug. It is a customisation as they say.

I'm assuming you are trying to get the cart to show in the head area of the template. I have abandoned my efforts until next week as I have too much to do without getting stuck on this problem.

I just called the minicart in the head template and worked backwards. I was nearly there but wasted a whole day on one problem. I'll post my solution next week.
