its not just the header background, the entire header is losing its absolute positioning. Any clues?

I have tried everything.

did you try making the browser window smaller by dragging?

For me it disappears while you are dragging but when you stop it reappears. Is that such a bad thing? It is pretty cool if you were designing a magic web site.
