Default Flyout menus modification

Hi there pals, I want to make two small adjustments for the flyout menus:

1. When user selects a particular category, and clicks, I want all the subcategories to stay expanded while in this category. Then when he goes to another category, I want them to hide and the subcategories for the second categories should expand. I hope you understand what I mean.

2. Also is it possible, when the user is in a particular category to show onle this category and its subcategories on the left and nothing else.

Look at this website to get my point. Observe the behaviour of the top horizontal menu and the left menu:

I'll be help if someone helps with this, cause my budget is all out

Sorry I did not use it in the end, it was not that hard to get it to work with x-cart, the main problem was that I had to load all the URL's that are maintained automatically by the menu system in x-cart.

It did look good but would of been very fiddly to maintain

OK, with my customer we've been through the menu and now he only wants the foollowing thing:

When we choose to show the menu in this way: Tree-like expanding and we tick on this option: Show category triangles the menu expands down when we click on the little triangle on the left of the category name. My client wants the triangle to dissappear and the menu to expand down when we click on the category name itself...

I hope you got my thought here. I'll be very grateful if someone helps me out, cause after 1,5 monts hard work this is the last modification I have to make...

Thanks in advance, pals!
