Download Expander- your experience and thoughts

Hello all,

I am looking for anyone who can share his/her experience with Download Expander. I am looking for a solution to distribute software license keys to customers upon purchasing a piece of software. It appears that the module can do that based on the screenshots on the AlteredCart's web site, but I would like to hear from actual users of the module.

Will install it on v4.2.1 Gold.

Does it allow for unique license key for each download?

I use it couldn't run my store without it. You can use generate links after an order and give it a code that they have to put in. Not sure if you could stop the initial download email from going out though. I've never tried it.

If anybody is interested in this thread, FYI, I ended up hiring a programmer who developed for me the ability to distribute license codes associated with each egoods product.

I had a developer create 2 modules for me- 1) license code "bucket" distribution system and 2) Amazon fulfillment. I am extremely pleased with the results and have been using both modules on a production site selling security solutions to large enterprise customers. She collected rather modest fees for the module (under $500) which I think was well worth it.
