I am also wondering, if we are using CDSEO right now with 4.1.11, and then make the switch to xcart 4.2 down the road, and continue to use CDSEO with that (assuming a 4.2 compliant version is available) would this help to minimize SEO problems as a result of the switch?

CDSEO is partially encrypted.

CDSEO out of the box is now compatible with 4.0/4.1/4.2 so migration between versions keeps the urls seamless. We are also adding many new seo features in the coming months.

Hi Jon. I want to use this software. I have 4.0.7 ver and using original php links to advertise in google msn yahoo etc. I am concern about those links after switching the site to CDSEO links. Also my store have some customizations. Could you let me know if there would be any problem using CDSEO for my store? I also send you PM. If everything ok, I am planning to buy and install during new year holiday.

Ok - just so I understand:

1) If someone is on 4.1.xx and buys/applies CDSEO, and then moves up to xcart 4.2 six months from now, would they be able to apply the same CDSEO license directly to that 4.2 installation?

2) is there a provision that would allow the settings to be transferred as well?

4.0.7 is compatible. CDSEO will automatically 301 redirect all default php links to preserve the links and transfer SEO rank.

CDSEO integrates pretty seamlessly so its compatible with 99+% of all customizations. If you were to have any issues we would help you work through them.

1) Yes if you buy and apply CDSEO on 4.1 they can apply the same license to 4.2.

2) You simply migrate the wcm_cdseo* database tables and all settings are transferred.

Cool. Makes it a lot easier to stick with 4.1.11 for now knowing that CDSEO has a transition path for future migration to 4.2 that can keep the SEO fires burning. That's worth $200 all by itself IMO.
