Hello everyone, hope some of you can help me on this issue.

For example, if you go to here: http://www.idressforless.com/product.php?productid=16147&cat=0&page=1&featured

Click Enlarge to see the detailed image, it is fine as it is the Brown product.

When you choose Grey, the image changes but when you enlarge it, the detailed image is brown.

How can I create detailed images for each colour? This is an important feature which I could not get it to find in X Cart?

Module "Details image" and "product variant" is not connected with each other.

They only belong to one product.

What you are asking is not done in 30-45 minutes)

Try searching for similar modifications or ready module that will perform these functions.

I have an idea for you.

It appears you are using only the product thumbnail as the product image. If you load a larger image (say one of the ones you are using for your detail images) then it will appear larger on the product detail page.

Then load the larger detail images as you variant images instead of the thumbnail image you have now.

What will happen is your main product page will load, displaying whatever the default product variant is, then when the customer chooses a different color the large image will change to that color. No need for detail images or popups.

the reason why im using one product image is becuase i cannot provide detailed images for other colours.

I am still searching for a mod, if you know any please let me know. thanks

I have had a similar problem:

you can have your only detailed image be one big image that displays all three images, since you only have three different ones.

For each product you can have...

A product thumbnail. This is the default image that is displayed in your product categories. If there isn't one, the default "no image" image is displayed by default.

A product image. This is the default image that is displayed on your product page. If there isn't one available, the product thumbnail is displayed by default.

Detailed images. These are added in the product detail images section, and are displayed separately usually to show various attributes of the product. You can add as many as you like.

Variant images. These are added in the product variants section (one per variant) to display each variant, and will be displayed according to which option variant the customer chooses from the drop down box.


jpreskitt, your variant images are quite clever, but it appears that some are either missing or have the incorrect image attached (beginning at oxblood red").
