Default removing the copyright .tpl section
Hi all,
I want to remove the 'powered by x-cart' footer. I thought that by simply going in and deleting the contents of the copyright.tpl file I would be able to achieve this, but not so. Any ideas?

thanks for that. tried it but got an 'Error: File operation is failed.' message. anytime i try to make a change to any .tpl file i get it. could that be a permissions issue?

Yes, your templates need to be writable - at least 666
