I figured out my first problem (adding subcategory), but now I can't figure out how to "delete" a subcategory or even get to it to edit it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I can only get to main categories. Thanks.

Just go to admin/categories and click on the main catgory it should take you to another page and you should see the sub category. Same goes for adding a sub. Just click on the main one and it brings up a new screen where you can add a sub category or delete one. If you are not getting this then something is wrong.

OMG, I don't want to admit it, but hopefully someone can benefit from this thread. I didn't realize the actual "main" category (title) was linked, I've been "checking" the category I wanted and using the buttons at the bottom. Ok, duh, thanks again!
