Hello,

Wondering if one of you gurus could help me as you have done so well in the past...I started installing egoods on my side and everything seems okay, but the manual says : When an order containing an ESD product is processed, an email letter with a download key (a link likehttp://www.example.com/xcart/download.php?id=920e98f7d889eb7781a') is sent to the email address of
the customer who placed the order.

However after my sandbox customer buys the egoods no email is being generated with download link???

Am I right to think that the email is in /skin1/admin/downloads/dl_ex_email.tpl ?

No, download keys are sent using /skin1/mail/egoods_download_keys_subj.tpl
and /skin1/mail/egoods_download_keys.tpl or /skin1/mail/html/egoods_download_keys.tpl if you use html mail format.

Thank You for your prompt reply, I was able to edit the e-mail template as suggested. However still can't get the automated delivery to clients...just about at the end of my rope on this one....unless someone has suggestions I will have to start a ticket with Qualiteam!

Download links are only sent when the order is processed. If you are in test mode they may not be automatically processed.

Just tried it...indeed this was the problem, Thank You. I guess you probably know my next question, can X-cart automatically process this type of order or do I have to manually process same?

There is an option "Forcedly to turn on Manual CC processing if the cart contains EGoods" at EGoods module configuration http://yourhost.com/xcart/admin/configuration.php?option=Egoods

Check if it is enabled.

As long as you are using an instant payment method, fore example PayPal or a credit card the order will automatically be processed. If payment with a Money order, or pay by phone the order will be set to Queued. You will then have to change this to processed when the payment clears.
