Default How far can you go in Txt_welcome ?

Greetings all. First post here.

How far can you take txt_welcome ?

For example, will it handle a menu system, or just straight html ?

The reason I ask is that it occured to me that the answer to a few issues was if I could insert my basic site template into txt_welcome.

It would look a bit like this >>> http://circleofatlantis.com/ which is my main site.

Rather than muck around trying to edit it in, I hoped some kind person would know.

If this does work, what dont you put in there ? (I'm not an html expert by any means, just good at copying what exists.)

Probably not the best idea, no. Better to put it in customer/home.tpl so that it will be used by every page.

Just as a thought, if I made up an html file that contained the header and menu I wanted, what would it cost for someone to put it in customer/home.tpl for me ?

Edit : Let me take that one step further.

One of the feedback I've had on the path to doing this project of mine was it needed some individuality of site look.

If anyone does site redesigns and would like to comment and quote, have a look at my site in my signature and suggest what you would do to the basic xcart to make it fit the site theme. And what it would cost. I'm having some modifications done already, and since I've been looking at what people have done with theirs and dont have a clue as to how to do that myself, I thought it worth asking the question. I dont ahve an unlimited budget though, in fact its nearly empty, but if I dont askm I wont know
