Default List Box Width

I have a number of list boxes as part of my categories but can only see how to change the height.

Some of the text is in different lengths but to be easy on the eye I want all the boxes to be the same.

Anyone know how to do this?

Hi designtheweb,

Sorry, I am not sure to where/what you are referring to. Are you talking about the categorised images in the lower half of your home page? Also what sort of control are you looking for to make boxes the same - do you want them to be wider?

One other note; your onestore has a lot of repetitive inline css. It maybe better to remove them and place into a css file such as your skin1.css. Currently your home page is over 450KB big x10 bigger than a default install (and that's without images), which is considered a little excessive and possibly not good for the search engines

Hi, thanks for your reply, I should have been more specific, I meant this web site : http://www.nosh2go.com.au/xcart/home.php?cat=1956436154

It's those white boxes with the names of the suburbs that I want to be all one width.

Thanks.

thanks about the onestore front page, I was looking to do a separate .tpl but haven't managed to do it yet, I guess one other way is just to make the whole thing an image with hot spots so customers can click to the right category but then I don't think I could display gifs?

In your skin1.css file add...

.ColumnTitles1 SELECT {
width: 100px; /* Change size or add other attributes for select tag */
}

Is this right?

If you have access to FTP; for you it should be located by /xcart/skin1/skin1.css

For instance, if you were to type in your browser yourdomain.com.au/xcart/skin1/skin1.css you should see your css file displayed in print. Although you won't be able to edit it - you'll need to have the file first, edit it and then be able to upload it via FTP

thanks, but that refers to the general columns, not a specific list box within those columns

You want to hit a specific box? Like 1 out of the 9 boxes? Rather than them being all affected?
