Default Silly Setup question re: Admin side, # of columns displayed

So I've got my 4.1.8 in development - must say I LIKE it more than my previous versions.
One thing - the admin side renders in a 2 (two) column format (front end has three) and I'd rather it in be in a 3 (three) column format with menus on both sides (to avoid unnecessary scrolling)
so... eh... where does I set this?

I'm sure I'm overlooking a very simple answer, and your feedback and assistance are greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Hope you're having an OUTSTANDING day (or night, depending on where you are

single/home.tpl

You'd need to code in a third column and move whatever menus you want over there.

Moving to Template Editing.

balinor - Thank you! I think I can handle that. If not, I'll be back
And thanks also for placing it in the proper category.

Proving once again that despite the unassuming "Veteran" tag, balinor is an official Dark Regent/uber-overlord for all things X-Cart. You da man! *bows humbly* Thank you again.

I am new to x-cart and have read everything I can find on the forum but I still don't really know how to "code in a third column" from the single/home.tpl template. I need to move the authentication menu over there to avoid too much scrolling. Can anyone help?

You'll need to understand HTML in order to add a third column....do you know HTML?

Yes, I do know HTML (enough to get me by!). I guess I am just not sure exactly where to put it in the code.

There are two <td> tags in there now, you need to add a third one after the second one and then put whatever includes within that <td> that you want added to a third column.
