Default Incorporating HTML into category pages

Hello all

is it possible to incorporate simple html (similar to creation and modification of static pages) on the category and sub-category pages? I would like to start selling text links on my subs (example: http://www.spiffybaby.com/Baby-Footwear-p-1-c-3.html) so i naturally need an excess to them.

Thanks so much
Daniel

Please don't post questions in the Completed Custom Mods forum. Moving to Template Editing.

Yes, you can add html to the category descriptions.

Well Ryan
I do have simple HTML in description before my icons for sub-categories (which by the way, i have no idea how to make bigger, so if you can suggest on that too, i would appreciate it). What I really want to have is to utilize the space below to sell some text-ad links. So sort of like a separate static html page maybe embeded on the category level. I really dont wanna mess around with the description of these pages. How do i do that?
thanks much
Daniel

Well, that's difficult, as you would need to edit the template directly, and add {if} statements to show different content based on which category you are in. To make the images larger, simply upload larger images.

I see. Can you give me an idea of if-else satement based on the category location? i.e. how do i check which category i am in? Also which template would that be?
I already tried with bigger images, but I will again just to make sure. I am pretty sure my ex-developer limited the size somewhere.
Thanks

The categories template is customer/main/subcategories.tpl. If your developer did something to limit the size, it is probably in there. For {if} statements, great thread here:
