![]() I recently had this problem too, and this is what solved it ...
When calling product thumbnails/images to the 'Product Management' section, (when you have 'Images Location' settings = File System (for both product thumbnails/product images) in the admin panel) ... The pop-up window for product thumbnails/images in the Product Management page provides 3 options: "file on this server" "file on your local computer" "file on the internet (enter image URL)" If your store is in: www.mydomain.com/store/[x-cart] ... and you want to use "file on this server", x-cart (version 4.1. ![]() www.mydomain.com/store/files/[images/subdirectories] It looks for your images/image subdirectories (that you've uploaded via FTP) in the /files/ folder of your store. Does this help?

![]() Hi,
Yes, thanks the images folder has now suddenly appeared, now that i have uploaded an image. Just one other thing. In my previous install, inside the "images" folder, there were sub-folders called C, D, M, P, and T. In this new images folder that has now appeared, it only has the folders called C, D and T. Will the rest appear later when i upload the appropriate images? Also, what i din't understand is why last time i installed x-cart, all these images folders were present immediately after the install, but this time the folders wern't there. I thought the installation script should do the same thing each time, but obviously, this is not the case! Thanks for your help

![]() Since no one else has yet to respond, I will venture an educated guess here. Since:
T = thumbnails D = detail images C = category images (i think) I suspect that the others correlate to some module that you have turned off. For example, if you turn on the Manufacturer module (where you could use a manufacturer's logo with proudcts), the "M" folder will probably appear. Try it. It will cost you nothing! XCart seems to create files and folders dynamically, on an as-needed basis.
