Funny! We created almost exactly the same mod Only one extra thing: The customer gets on cart.php the message: Based on your cart-total you have X products to choose from !

Yup...works perfect. I've installed this mod on 3 carts already including versions 4.0.13, 4.0.14 & 4.0.18. Just back for a little reference on the fourth v 4.0.18 and it to went fine too.

I have questions for you 4.0.18 users. Balinor says the correct code is posted, but it sounds like some of you have made changes. I do not follow some, if anyone who has done this is still following this thread, would you please provide more info if possible?

THREAD-I've got this working on 4.18. Only step 10 gives me a hard time. The quantity box in cart displays no matter what.

there is also cart_details.tpl that needs step 10.

got it. I was comparing against product instead of prod_num

ME-same problem, but i do not understand the answer. do i replace the instances of product in that bit of code with prod_num? or in other spots?

i have another problem which i do not know if i did it during this mod or another and just didnt notice it. any input here is appreciated!

the products and inventory menus in the admin are broke. iwas moving around stuff earlier and created a search box in my side menus. that sounds more likely to me than what i did with this mod. sound correct? or am i off base.

another problem: i tried to restore from backup (made right before i took up the free mod quest) and it says it works... but it really doesnt. any idea why? same with my back up from cpanel for the sql db. it loaded xcart_4 db which was empty.

well i dont know what i changed last night, but the admin menus work now. still working on the rest.

Great Mod! I was thinking of writing one like this but I still haven't got my head completely around the Smarty tags just yet. I am having one small problem that I can't seem to find an answer for...

In Step 7:

Your subtotal is ${$offerFreeGifts[ofg].minimum_price} or more. To receive a free {$offerFreeGifts[ofg].product}, click here

The "Click Here" link does not come across with any code...
This could be up to me and if so, just say so.
But as I am no expert with the smarty tags stuff, if someone has the code for that section I would greatly appreciate it.
