How do I remove the search box from my site?

You will have to remove following line from skin1/head.tpl

{ include file="customer/search.tpl" }

But I still not fugured out how to remove horizonal line (brown line) after search menu.

I hope some other person here will sure help you out for that

it's showing me thin brown horizontal line on same place after removed the following line from head.tpl

{ include file="customer/search.tpl" }

Note: I am default ornage skin
