Loosing customer state info? | |||

![]() Lately when a customer is checking out and they click "the shipping address is the same as the billing address" everything transfers down to shipping address except the state goes back to the state i have selected as the default state which is alabama.... is there something i can do to fix this?

This is not part of the standard X-Cart system, have you installed a mod? Moving to Template Editing, as this doesn't deal with shipping issues.

![]() Hmmm...there definitely isn't a checkbox that copies the billing to shipping in the default 4.0.17 version of X-Cart. By default, it says 'Leave empty if same as billing'.

![]() i just checked /customer/main/customer_details.tpl and everything looks normal.... and iv never had this page open before
any idea on where i could see if something looks screwy?

![]() That template has nothing to do with registration, that is just the display of the customers' info on the final checkout page. The templates that control registration are in the main/ folder (register_shipping_address.tpl, register_billing_address.tpl, etc)

![]() We have the same problem on a couple of our X-Cart sites ... and it's been going on for about a year. X-Cart version 4.0.16. I've asked tech support about it several times but they were never ever able to recreate the problem. It doesn't happen all the time. Did you ever find a fix?

![]() You guys are talking about two different versions here. The 4.0 branch did not have a check box for 'same as billing', so if that is present in your 4.0.x cart, it is an add on of some sort.
For the 4.1 branch, was this when you used Autofill per chance? And mawalshy, if you could please update your forum signature with your X-Cart version per the forum guidelines that would be great. Thanks!
