Hi again...

I want to change my default buttons but I can't seem to get rid of the old butbg.gif. I went into the image directory and tried renaming it, I've tried deleting it from the CSS and from the image directory, but it still is showing up as a background image. The end caps change but the background (middle section) won't go away.

Please take a look at the problem and let me know how to get rid of the old butbg.gif...

I just checked your css file and it showed that it is still there.

    color: #3C3C3C;
    font-family: Arial;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 11px;
    text-decoration: none;
    background-image: url(images/butbg.gif);
    background-color: #FF0000;
}

Please take another look because... I just renamed my image to butbg.gif which partially worked... now my complete button shows but there's a duplicate image of the butbg.gif appearing with the text.

You probably just need to clear your browser cache. You can also try going in your admin to Summary/Tools section and Force cache generation.

I refresh continually... I dumped the browser cache... cleared the templates cache. I didn't see an option for 'Force Cache Generation' but I've been able to put different background colors in and they appear just fine. I've tried typing in 'transparent' for background color and it turns up white BUT when I select default background, it produces the duplicate image. So I don't think it anything that isn't being purged from memory.

I'm lost... shouldn't be this difficult. If I replace my image with the default X-Cart image it works... I don't get it. I've tried 3 differnt version of my image with various transparency options and still no luck.

Figured in out... buttons/button.tpl had vertical alignment set on 'default'. Switched to top, adjusted 'top' padding and No Problem!
