![]() I have been reading the posts for weeks, as well as the Template Editing Guide and still cannot understand how to add templates to my static pages. I want to create just a couple of static pages but I want them to have the same look as the home.php page.
For exampled, I have a splash page: http://www.mytiddies.com/xcart but it has none of the elements it needs, e.g. the header.tpl, the menu boxes, the search bar, etc. Ideally I would like to bring the html content of this splash page into http://www.mytiddies.com/xcart/home.php where the welcome.txt is but am so confused about how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated by this newbie! ![]() |

![]() If you add an embedded static page, it automatically uses the same template as the site. You simply add content and it will show up in the main structure of the site.
A splash page is different, as it is not in the framework of the site. I recommend not using a splash page, and instead just add your splash page content to customer/main/welcome.tpl. Just add the html right to the template, or you can add it in the welcome text language variable.
