Default CDSEO yes or No

Gidday All,

I have cdseo installed, and now my designer/seo consultant suggests me to use a modified HTML catalogue instead. I don't know which way to turn, any suggestions?

Regards
Colin

CDSEO - yes.

On what basis does your consultant think CDSEO is not beneficial? What part of:

1. eliminating duplicate content (your URL remains the same no matter how many categories you put the item in);
2. dynamic pages, yet static URLs;
3. seo friendly URL names;
4. Cart is still dynamic...

Have you seen what a non-static site looks like? Html site? Cdseo site?

Find out WHY your consultant feels you will be better off with a modified html catalog, and report back. There are too many reasons I want to keep my store dynamic.

Hi,

Thanks for your response, Your sites was one of the ones I visited prior, to making my decision to use cdseo. I even went to the trouble of moving my x-cart installation from one host to another to find cdseo support.

Regards
Colin

eeks, I should either be flattered (thank you) or very afraid!

I tossed this issue around just as you are doing, and I had a bunch of opinions -- I chose CDSEO because of many reaosns, but Jon from WebsiteCM's guidance and support factored in big time. I must ahve asked Jon 200 questions before we did this... and I am most satisfied with the ultimate results... but PLEASE read my other suggestions for SEO (I should make a sticky, really) since there is NO single-source solution. DO NOT forget about page titles. X-Cart is SEO hostile out of the box. You MUST get the BCSE page title mods (some are free, some are $24.95).

Use the advanced forum search and find keywords such as "seo hostile" or "page titles" and my username... I have a rant or 3 as I was learning the ropes. Hope this helps.

Jeremy
