when i click the pop up help for cvv2 the title of the pop up window is http://www.mystore.com - X-Cart. Powerful PHP shopping cart software. How do I remove "X-Cart. Powerful PHP shopping cart software" from the title.

You need to learn how to use webmaster mode...

If you used webmaster mode, you'd see that the popup is a template called popup_info.tpl and that there is a title tag: <title>{$lng.txt_site_title}</title>

so then, go to your languages, and search for txt_site_title and then change it.

USE WEBMASTER MODE and you will never have to wait for the answer again.

I think i know how to use webmaster mode. For some reason i cannot follow ur instructions. In languages, located under admin, i can only add or change a language.Can u briefly tell me how to use webmaster mode properly, so that i can find where the location of things.

1. turn webmaster mode on (start webmaster mode)

read the instructions:

Open customer area in a new window

To exit Webmaster mode press the button below.

Warning Please ensure that pop-up windows are enabled in your browser (required for correct work of Webmaster mode).

Webmaster mode facilitates the process of changing language variables (denoted as "$lng.XXX" in templates) enabling you to change these values in WYSIWYG mode.

Warning! Webmaster mode will not work with compiled templates.

Usage

Go to the page you want to change. Additional "templates" window will appear with the list of all included templates. You can call the template editor from it by clicking on a template. Notice that the browser status line (at the bottom) changes when you move the mouse over the site. Depending on the position of your mouse it indicates (a) the template name and (b) the label name. To change the label, click on it. If the label is under a hyperlink, move your mouse over it (its name appears at the bottom) and press "e" (Edit) on the keyboard. Label dialog will appear. You can (1) preview the site after setting the label, (2) save the text into the database, and (3) copy the label name into the clipboard (IE only).

More tips:

1. The language variables must be set in the language that is selected for your site as current;
2. Close any template windows & label windows before entering Webmaster mode again;
3. To quit Webmaster mode, go to admin zone, click on "Close Webmaster mode";
4. Webmaster mode is based on sessions: it applies only to the computer it has been set up on. It doesn't affect the website itself;
5. Use IE5 or later / NN6 or later to work in Webmaster mode.

3. In new window, navigate to where you want... use your store.
4. find the debugger window, hover your cursor over the various templates and watch the various parts of each paage highlight/border
5. when you determine which template you think is involved in the page you're looking at, you can either use webmaster mod, or do as i do, go back to your ftp client, and open the page in a real text editor. look around, see what's there... sometimes, it's obvious.

In the case of the popup, there's not much much there...

SO -- getting back to the langauages.,.. once you determine you need to edit a label, open the languaages page, select your language, then place the text you want to search for in the search box... it seems pretty simple to me... and it's all pretty well documented.
