![]() I have made a change to my home.php title (ie. HELP ZONE) at the top of the page using webmaster mode but now if I go back into webmaster mode to make a modification to the lbl_... of my home.php page it will not allow me to click on it to make the change. The title doesn't turn green anymore and I'm not sure if it is because I added some html to the lbl_ text or not. It works for everyother page as I didn't add any code to those pages. Anyway can some one tell me how to make changes, or where to find the lbl text files?
Thanks

![]() Click on Languages in you admin, then choose a language in the edit language section at the top. Then choose text in the Select topic: dropdown box.

![]() thanks photo, one more thing, what is the lbl_ that goes with the home.php page? I think part of the problem is that the actual lbl is missing. I forget what the original lbl was called. Thanks

![]() I appreciate this thread more than I can say. Is there another label in that same area which offers wysiwig editing? If so can you tell me the name of that file?
Interestingly my html catalog generates from the home.php page and is displaying the wysiwig html I stored in that lbl file but I am unable to access it for further editing. It doesn't indicate the filename when rolling over that zone anymore in webmaster mode, as it did previously. I may have caused this by closing webmaster mode before the label editor was closed, so it's apparently stuck open. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. |

![]() You can't edit an html catalog using the language variables because the site is no longer 'dynamic'. In order to use webmaster mode or the label editor, you would have to edit the dynamic (php) site and then regenerate the catalog.

![]() Thanks so very much for your reply Balinor. From your reply I'm not sure if you are thinking I'm attempting to edit the HTML catalog directly, which of course I know I can do even though it would be overwritten the next time I generate.
I was referring to the webmaster mode editable source page for the catalog, which for me resides at http://befreetech.com/xcart/home.php Why is the site no longer dynamic? Can you direct me to a reference that explains something about how I can edit the dynamic (php) site? Thanks so very much - I appreciate your reply enormously. Kurt Annaheim |

![]() Sorry, I misunderstood you...though you were trying to edit the html catalog with webmaster mode. If you can't get webmaster mode to open again, try closing out your browser completely and opening it back up again.

![]() Thanks Balinor, for the suggestion about shutting down and restarting the browser, but I had thought of that and had tried it many times along with other processes in the effort to get, what I now know is the file "txt_welcome" to re-appear in webmaster mode when editing http://befreetech.com/xcart/home.php.
Today I installed from scratch and built a dummy build of the software to learn that the file name I was seeking is "txt_welcome". After using the language feature and editing that file, per your previous suggestion - I was able to enter webmaster mode, roll the cursor over that file which was now alive and well, and then edit it in wysiwyg mode, - make changes, and then see them appear at http://befreetech.com/xcart/home.php. Finally I could update them to the html catalog by deleting the old catalog and allowing it to generate "dynamically" from the source "home.php" page as edited. I'm elated, and very thankful for your assistance, since the clues you gave me, helped me figure out how to solve this problem, as it's been nagging me for several months. |
