Q: Does anyone know of a way that inventory can be displayed on an html catalog generated page? Obviously inventory updates are dynamic, but it's easy to call external content into catalog pages with Ajax and iFrames, so can this method be used to show accurate inventory numbers in static pages?

I thought about a popup with available inventory, but popups shouldn't be used for crucial content. Any ideas?

This is needed as I am working a site with way too many products and static pages are a must and any dynamic calls must be at a bare minimum (search by name and cart/checkout only).

That's why I use the DSEFU mod

I knew you'ld say that... But, it doesn't fit this particular problem where we need to use cached pages.
