Product on the main page

Hi all. I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for doing a search, so I thought that I'd post my question.

What I'd like to do is have a product show up on the main page for sale. It would be similar to the Featured Products, but you wouldn't have to click on it to see the details as it would be displayed for sale as soon as you "walked in the door'

I'm trying to do some sale items and I want them to be super easy to buy without the customer having to do much. I will be changing the items frequently. Kinda like an "Item of the Day" thing.

Why not just turn on the 'buy now' button on the featured products? A whole lot easier that way

I DO have the Buy Now button turned on in Featured Products.

What I am after is that the product details be displayed without having the customer need to click on it. It's like they walk in the door and that product is right there in all it's glory.

You can just add them in. Are you using a 3 column layout or single column for featured products?

Excellent question. I have no clue.

Excuse my simplistic look, but I haven't done anything to the appearance of the site. I've been trying to make it more functional.

That is a single column layout. Do you want to add the full description to the product listing or additional stuff as well?

What I think I'm after is the ability to have a products on the main page. I'll probably end up doing separate products (aside from the normal ones) when they go on sale (different description, etc) I can set up new products (I'll just clone them) for when they go on sale, but I'd like whatever product that I put up there to appear on the front page as if you clicked on any of the products in the store and got right to that page.

Does that make sense?

Yes is it possible to call on features product section for only one product?
