Default Font Size

This is probably a stupid, simple question ... but I'm stumped. I blame it on being a Noob with this product!

Where do you edit font sizes? I have a "mystery" font size for my category list (it is too big). I do know how to edit font sizes in HTML, but I'm not finding this in any template, setting, or anywhere else.

I have not edited ANYTHING yet on the cart for look and feel. I'm just getting started in that area.

By the looks of this product (blame it on years of coding ASP sites using a typical site editor) I might need to hire a designer to get the look & feel rolling along while I get up to speed on PHP and Smarty programming.

Find the style.css file, most text is controlled from there.

Default Font Sizes

I found it (before I read your post) ... it was in the Skins folder. Thanks ...

Find your "skin" folder if you are using your FTP client. This is usually named "skin1" or skin1_original", etc.

You will see files named "skin1.css", etc. Any .css file is the style sheet or exactly named a Cascading Style Sheet.

Using the FTP client allows you to open and edit the file using a specific CSS editor such as: Rapid CSS, TopStyle, Style Master, or many others. This type of tool actually shows you instantly in a WYSIWYG type of format, which is perfect if you are unfamiliar with styles, or just want to see the affect that a change makes.

Otherwise, through your admin area of X-Cart, go into "Edit Templates" and on the first page you should see your .css files.

Even though I understand CSS "relatively well", I still like to use a specific editor.

Something to remember though .... if you have changed the skins to a custom, you will have a style sheet (.css) file that is specific to that skin.

Hi

I have a similar problem. The text in the red box below is too small for my liking. I have read the code and it isnБ─≥t a style, it just says FONT size=Б─²1Б─². Can somebody tell me what template I need to adjust to make this text larger?

either edit the code you found there or remove the <font></font> tags so that the text is the same size as other text

Thanks, but I need to know where that code lives. What template is it in? I found the code by just viewing the source of the page.
