Default ambivalence or other MVC (Model-View-Controller) front-end

I'm trying to integrate X-cart as the main content part of a MVC site using Ambivalence (a Model-View-Controller framework for PHP web development). Placing the xcart url into the framework throws xcart errors because cookies are trying to be set after output starts, plus the xcart coding is somehow clearing the MVC variables that are needed for the rest of the "LookandFeel.inc"

Does anyone have experience with this type of setup?

Should I try and put smarty into the MVC, or put the MVC into the smarty templates?

Default

X-carts security will wipe out any non x-cart variables passed to it. You probably need to speak to x-cart about the integration.
