What tables or templates do I need to edit?

I am trying to change the size of the spaces in between the tables.
I want to shrink the space in between my item table, and the right menu column or table.

Here is my current xcart site. I just started working on this 2 days ago, and have never worked with x cart, and have only done minimal amounts of php editing, (no programming). I also don't have a clue on how to use smarty, or even what it does. So now you know where I'm at.
I have figure out a lot on how to edit the .tpl files though within the admin panel.

Please help! The space is too big between the tables and it's throwing off the alignment on the site on cetain pages.

I also need to know this...
When I add multiple items to the "Featured Products" or if the "Search" feature is used, it will display a couple listings, side-by-side, and throws off the alignment of my site again. I want them to display vertically.

You don't need to worry about PHP, template are all html and Smarty.

First, in your multi-column layout, your images are too big to use that layout. You should either have the thumbnanil with the information beneath it, or one product per row.

As far as the product detail page, you have an empty table cell to the right of the description where the 'Save' icon goes. Just get rid of that column in product.tpl and you will be all set. Open it up in Dreamweaver, it will help you see what is what.

I'll adjust the images so they fit right... And I DO only one product per row. How do I change that??? That is one of the problems.

I still can't get my products to display in a single column, or 1 per row. What template or what do I change to fix this??

Did you edit one of the templates like products.tpl? It looks like something is botched up....

I did edit products.tpl But why would it display multiple products per row?

I double checked, and I never edited the product.tpl file. I only edited the dialog.tpl file.

Anyone on here know how to solve my problem???

If you edited products.tpl, that is probably your problem. Save what you have done, restore the original file, and add your modifications back in one by one os you don't make the same mistake again.

There has to be some setting that will only display 1 item per row, but will diplay multiple items vitically in a single column. Anyone know what this is??? This seems to be the mystery stumping all of the XCart pros!

Ok, you are confusing the hell out of me. First you say you edited products.tpl, then you didn't. If you didn't mess with the templates, than out of the box X-Cart shows one product per row, with multiple rows. If you alter the 'produts per row' in General Settings/Appearance options, then it will switch to multiple products per row. Not sure what you are trying to achieve if not one of those two options???
