![]() I'm trying to make my own separate sections to show dynamic category lists in - for example currently it is a single list like this:
Categories Title 1 Title 2 Title 3 Title 4 And I'd like to do something like this: Category 1 Title 1 Title 2 Category 2 Title 3 Title 4 I don't want them to show as categories with sub categories - the titles in bold above are the headings for the menu, with the categories and subcategories beneath them. I did something similar to this using an older version of X-cart in which I edited the fancycat templates, but it's all very different now and I'm not sure how to go about it.

![]() Thanks for the tip, I have tried the mod but it doesn't seem to do what I'm after.
With that mod, the headings show up like this ('new heading'): http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1197/unled4mv.png But I need them to be split like this: http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8139/unled3xq.png

![]() You can do that with some customizing to X-cart's category template. You'd need to change where the loop is that goes across the categories and have it span the whole template instead so that you get a new menu box for each header. But all the basics and changes to the database and php would be there to do this. You'd need to know a bit about smarty to do it.
I hope that's helpful. Thanks, Carrie
