![]() I read quite a few threads discussing this and the most important thing that seemed to be talked about was not hurting your search optimizations. Is using the htaccess way the best or a simple html page that has a refresh time of 0? (Others?) I know the refresh code of 0, but if the htaccess way is the best, can you refresh my memory and give me the code that I would actually put into the htaccess file?
Thank you.

![]() The absolute best way is to put X-cart in the root directory and set the index file to index.php. Redirects of any type are not liked by search engines.

![]() You don't have to redo your site, you just need to move it to the root directory.

![]() Still have some sorts of redirect on my site.
For examples: If I type in the browser "mydomain.com". It will forward and show mydomain.com/index.php on the browser. ![]() I don't want the index.php shows up after mydomain for SEO purposes. Is there a way I can fix this. However, when I type in "mydomanin.com/", with a back slash at the back then it shows normal like www.mydomain.com/. Live site is at www.soundtekmusic.com. Thanks in advance for your help! Andy |

![]() Search engines are ok with an .htaccess 301 redirect. Either use that, or build your html catalog in root. Do not do anything else.
